Hello again! It's been awhile ! We've had some changes since the last entry. The first and best is a "New" computer! My old one was 4 years old, which would be about 56 dog years! This one is much quicker, I'll be able to blog until my heart's content-
Another "New" developments is our first auction that will coincide with our next coin show at the Old SF Mint. Fun! We are still adding new material, so if you feel you have any pieces that are auction-worthy (they all are, right?!) then let me know.
Also, we've come up with a new business name. Griffin Coins will, from this point forward (a couple weeks from now anyway) be called....drumroll please......Portmouth Square Coin & Bourse Company LLC. We went with a LLC structure for a few reasons, but I won't bore you with the details. Suffice it to say that we wanted to convey a tie to San Francisco (Portsmouth Square being a significant location for San Francisco since before the Gold Rush) and we wanted to better describe our focus within the collectibles market.
Next week: A little history on Portsmouth Square

Welcome to our blog. We are excited to interact with our customers and the collecting public through a new blog.
Anoterh new change for Griffin Coins is the addition of a mailer. We will be mailing out a small list of Lincoln cents to customers in a couple weeks. Every month, we will add another series of coins, until we have all the "biggies" (Mercury dimes, Walking Liberty halves, Morgan dollars, etc).
One of the great things about this hobby is how much fun it affords the person. I am having a blast just going through these Lincolns. History in your hands!
